"Taza Kazakstan": 2.8 thousand environmental actions were held in NKR

The implementation of the republican action "Taza Kazakstan" was considered at the meeting of the Akimat of North Kazakhstan region. Since the beginning of the action, 271 improvement events have been organized in the region, more than 2.8 thousand environmental actions have been held. An important part of the event was explanatory work with the population, 638 meetings were held at which the rules of improvement and the formation of an environmental culture were discussed.

More than 158 thousand people, 6.1 thousand business entities and 63 industrial enterprises took part in the clean-up days. As a result of the work carried out, 578 historical and cultural monuments, more than 200 parks and squares, 23 fountains were brought into proper sanitary condition. 2.4 thousand units of equipment were involved in the cleaning. 53 thousand courtyards were cleaned, 167 thousand tons of waste were taken to solid waste landfills. Also, 34 thousand trees and 3.2 thousand shrubs were planted.

The President of the country emphasized that "Taza Kazakstan" is not a one-time action, but a nationwide task to introduce new standards of environmental culture in society. The head of the region called on the business community, deputies, opinion leaders, non-governmental organizations and residents of the region to actively form an environmental position, preserve the environment and actively participate in the "Taza Kazakstan" actions.

Following the meeting, the head of the region gave instructions to government agencies to ensure the implementation of the regional plan for the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Environmental Culture, intensification of work on planting trees and cleaning up territories. An important focus was to strengthen explanatory work among the population to increase environmental awareness.
