A new hockey rink for villagers opened in North Kazakhstan region

Today, a real sports festival took place in the village of Petrovka, Yesil district — a new indoor hockey rink was opened here with the participation of the Akim of North Kazakhstan region, Gauez Nurmukhambetov. The new facility will become a center for the development of mass winter sports, and will open up new opportunities for children and villagers. Thanks to such a sports complex, new stars and champions will grow here in the future.

The development of sports in rural areas is one of the priorities of state policy. Last year alone, 37 sports facilities were built in the region, 28 of which were in villages. These are sports complexes, hockey rinks, and mini-football fields.

"This year we will open a new sports complex, a swimming pool, hockey rinks, and the reconstruction of the Karasay stadium will be completed. Construction of an ice palace has begun in Petropavl. A project to build a football academy, including an indoor football arena, will be implemented. We will continue to work on creating conditions so that every resident has the opportunity to play sports, lead an active lifestyle and achieve high results," the head of the region noted.
