Environmental competition "Eco-feeders for birds" was held in NKR

On January 17, the Victory Park of Petropavl hosted an award ceremony for the participants of the "Eco-feeders for birds" competition, organized by the Youth Resource Center within the framework of the "Taza Kazakstan" program initiated by the Head of State. This event became an important stage in the environmental education of schoolchildren and the popularization of caring for birds in the winter. The event was also attended by representatives of student youth, volunteers, veteran and sports organizations.

The competition was attended by 68 schoolchildren who made environmentally friendly feeders for birds, which contributed to the formation of a caring attitude towards nature and the desire to help animals in the cold season. The participants of the competition were awarded certificates and sweet gifts. It is worth paying special attention to the fact that all the feeders made by the participants were installed directly in Victory Park, where schoolchildren were able to demonstrate in practice their care for wintering birds. This not only helped the birds survive the harsh winter months, but also became an important step towards developing environmental responsibility in the younger generation.

The goal of the competition is to educate the younger generation in environmental culture and increase their activity in solving environmental protection issues. The motto of the event "Winter is a difficult time for feathered friends, take care of the birds - hang a feeder!" reflected the essence of the project aimed at helping wintering birds and creating safe feeders that do not harm the environment.

"We are glad that the "Eco-feeders for birds" project was successful and brought together so many participants. It is important that children not only study nature, but also take an active part in its protection. We are confident that participation in such competitions helps young people become more conscious and caring towards their surroundings,” Damir Abdin, Head of the Youth Resource Center of Petropavl, shared.

The participants of the competition expressed gratitude to the organizers and sponsors, emphasizing how important it is that there are more such initiatives in the future. Many of the winners shared their plans to continue developing their environmental projects after the end of the winter season.

“I learned about the competition through announcements at school and from my friends. I have always loved nature and am interested in ecology, and wintering birds are something that has always interested me. When I learned that you can make bird feeders and help them in winter, I decided to participate. I think that each of us should take care of nature, especially those animals that need our help in the cold season,” one of the participants of the competition said.

Representatives of the older generation also shared their opinions on the importance of environmental education. "Today's event is not only an award ceremony for the contestants, but also an important step in raising our children. The head of state has repeatedly noted that environmental education plays a key role in shaping future citizens who will care for our nature. I am glad that I was able to be part of this project, and I hope that such initiatives will only expand," Imangali Tatvayev, Deputy Chairman of the Petropavlovsk City Council of Veterans, said. The "Eco-Feeders for Birds" contest has become a vivid example of how to form an active civic position and environmental awareness in young people.
