Today, North Kazakhstan Region Akim Gauez Nurmukhambetov visited the "Higher NK Professional and Pedagogical College", "College of the Service Sphere named after I. Dautov" and "Petropavl College of Mechanical Engineering and Transport named after B. Ashimov". During meetings with college directors and specialists, issues of implementing tasks within the framework of the "Year of Working Professions" initiated by the Head of State were discussed.
A regional plan for the Year of Working Professions has been adopted in the region, within the framework of which 47 different events will be held. The state aims to increase the prestige of working professions in society and conduct career guidance work with young people. It is important that school graduates understand the importance of working professions and choose them for their future careers. Assistance in the employment of young personnel in working professions is also important.
There are 24 colleges in the region, 13 of which specialize in training workers. Of the 11 thousand students, 3.8 thousand are studying in working specialties. Our colleges are equipped with modern equipment, which allows us to provide high-quality training and practical skills for students.
Today, the labor market needs such in-demand professions as machine operators, engineers, electricians, turners, builders and welders. To solve this problem, an additional 105 grants will be allocated for working specialties in colleges, which will increase their total number to 1,742. In dual training, the coverage will increase from 2.6 thousand to 3 thousand students. Under this program, colleges cooperate with more than 300 enterprises, 1 thousand contracts have been concluded.
