Rehabilitation center for children has opened in NKR

A new rehabilitation center has opened on the premises of the regional children's hospital with the participation of the Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov and the Deputy Chairperson of the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation Lazzat Chinkisbayeva. The center underwent major repairs at the expense of the budget, and the material and technical equipment was financed by the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation.

The center provides comprehensive medical, social, psychological and pedagogical assistance to children with neuro-orthopedic disorders. Modern expert-class rehabilitation equipment from leading global brands has been installed. Rehabilitation specialists, neurologists, exercise therapy instructors, speech therapists, defectologists, occupational therapists and psychologists work with the children.

"There are about 2.3 thousand children with special needs in the region. The new center will allow us to cover about 2 thousand children annually. I would like to emphasize that each child will undergo several rehabilitation courses until the desired positive result is achieved. In general, the opening of the rehabilitation center will significantly increase the coverage of children who need rehabilitation treatment," the head of the region noted.
