On December 10, 2024, an amazing event was held in Petropavl, organized within the framework of the republican ecological program "Taza Kazakstan" initiated by the Head of State. A master class on creating New Year's crafts from ecological materials was held in the city library named after G. Musrepov, where children and adults were able to learn how to create original decorations using natural resources.
The event, called "Ecoboom: DIY New Year's crafts", became a real celebration of creativity and environmental awareness. Participants of the master class learned how to create New Year's deer from pine cones and matches, as well as make paper snowmen and other decorations using environmentally friendly materials.
The master classes not only helped children develop their creativity, but also became an important step in forming a caring attitude towards nature. Natural materials such as pine cones, twigs and paper became the basis for beautiful New Year's crafts that were not only pleasing to the eye, but also served as a reminder of the importance of environmental protection.
"It is important to pass on our experience and knowledge to young people, especially in the field of environmental protection. We, veterans, teach young people to appreciate what surrounds us, and we do this through such events. The exchange of experience between generations helps to preserve important traditions and forms in children a sense of responsibility for the future of our planet," Imangali Tatvayev, Deputy City Council of Veterans, shared.
The event brought together children from the Sunny House public foundation, including children with disabilities, as well as members of the Council of Veterans and volunteers of the Youth Resource Center. The meeting was important for strengthening the connection between generations: children learned from veterans how to appreciate and preserve nature, and the older generation passed on their knowledge and experience to the younger generation.
The event also emphasized the importance of inclusion, as children with disabilities were able to create together with other participants, creating unusual and beautiful crafts. Professional mentors and specialists helped each participant find their own approach to creating eco-friendly New Year's decorations.
"For me, this is a unique opportunity to work with children who have special educational needs, but who are nevertheless full of enthusiasm and creativity. I see how they learn to interact with nature and with each other. This helps not only develop their skills, but also increase their self-confidence. The event teaches children important environmental principles that they can apply in their lives," Tatyana Dell, founder of the public foundation for helping children and adults with Down syndrome "Sunny House" said.
The master class became not only a platform for creativity, but also an important lesson in environmental awareness, aimed at drawing attention to environmental issues and teaching children practical steps to preserve nature.
