Botay ART Gallery opened in NKR

A significant event took place in the cultural life of the North Kazakhstan region on Constitution Day – the Botay ART Gallery opened in Petropavl. The grand opening was attended by the Akim of North Kazakhstan Region Gauez Nurmukhambetov, the Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kumis Seitova, famous artists of the country, veterans, creative intelligentsia and the public of the city.

The President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the centuries-old history of the country is a matter of national pride, an important component of the cultural code of our people. The name of the gallery is associated with the unique archaeological site “Botay Settlement” in North Kazakhstan Region, where the horse was first domesticated 6 thousand years ago.

The peculiarity of the new art space is that it will host both exhibitions and various meetings with authors and artists. The gallery will become a place of attraction, spiritual enrichment and creative development, will take a special place in the cultural life of the region. Combining cultural, educational, patriotic, creative components, the gallery will attract viewers of all ages. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the work of famous Kazakhstani masters of the brush, as well as modern artists, sculptors, masters of decorative and applied arts, new trends in fine art. The gallery's exposition presents paintings by artists - the founders of Kazakhstani art, works by artists of the northern region.
