Cleaning of territories within the framework of the republican program "Taza Kazakhstan" initiated by the Head of State was held in the North Kazakhstan region. Representatives of government bodies, youth, volunteers, residents, public sector employees, public figures, and proactive citizens took part in the next environmental event.
In the city of Petropavl, an environmental campaign "Our solution is less pollution!" was held. Young people on the main pedestrian Arbat of the regional center offered to exchange plastic bags for paper ones. Thus, to find out whether they are ready to solve the environmental issues of the republic today.
Quickly and unnoticed, plastic bags have become an integral part of everyday life. They carry and store food in them, throw out household waste.
Every day, tons of bags and plastic packaging are taken to landfills. They can lie in the ground for hundreds of years and not decompose. Environmental scientists from all over the world have been sounding the alarm about this for a long time.
"Today, as part of the Taza Kazakhstan program, we decided to tell and remind that plastic bags decompose for about hundreds of years. The environmental damage they cause is enormous. Plastic bags are carried away by the wind, clog sewers, end up in public waterways, rivers, lakes, and also scatter around garbage bins and end up on the territory of residential buildings. We, the youth of the region, cannot remain on the sidelines of this problem," Anastasiya Volkova, head of the front office of volunteering, said.
As it turned out, the city residents support the action and are ready to refuse to use plastic bags.
About 50 people took part in the useful action.
In addition, an environmental action was held in the regional center in the square of victims of nuclear disasters. About 100 people armed with rakes and brooms came out to clean up the park, these are young people, volunteers from among working and student youth, students and residents. The participants tidied up the place where city residents relax. Within a few hours, they collected garbage, dry branches and removed mown grass. Parks are becoming a favorite place for city residents to relax. The events were organized by the regional Youth Resource Center together with volunteer organizations. At the initiative of the youth of the city and districts of the region, under the leadership of the regional resource center, environmental events of various formats are held on an ongoing basis, which fosters environmental culture and a caring attitude towards their native land among the younger generation.
The Taza Kazakhstan program initiated by our President has become a tradition for us, we attend all environmental events, participate constantly, try to set an example, instill a culture, help the city maintain cleanliness. We consider it necessary to hold events aimed at improving the environmental situation in the region on an ongoing basis. We call on all residents of our region to join and support the program,” said volunteer Anel Dosanova.
The work was also in full swing in the microdistricts of the regional center, which were flooded in the spring. They are dismantling dilapidated housing, restoring houses that are suitable for further habitation.
Let us recall that 11 operational headquarters have been deployed in the regional center, each of which is assigned five mechanized brigades. The mechanized brigades are restoring damaged property, repairing damaged houses, and clearing streets and courtyards of garbage.
Environmental events were held in all populated areas of the region.
Since the beginning of the campaign, about 142.7 thousand North Kazakhstan residents have come out to clean up the territories. Coastal areas are being cleaned, trees are being planted. In total, 211 squares and parks have been improved, 141.5 thousand tons of garbage have been removed, more than 32.5 thousand trees and more than 3.2 thousand bushes have been planted. The republican program "Taza Kazakhstan" helps to involve residents of the region in environmental initiatives, residents of the region instill environmental habits, and increase the level of caring attitude towards the environment.
