Canopy will be installed at Karasay stadium and seats will be replaced

The second stage of reconstruction of the Karasay stadium has begun in the regional center. Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov visited the stadium and got acquainted with the progress of work.

Last year, an artificial field with heating and irrigation, new lighting, an electronic scoreboard and sound equipment were installed.

This year it is planned to renovate the western and eastern stands, under-stand spaces, locker rooms and bathrooms. They will install a canopy over the western stand, which is missing during rainy weather. In addition, there will be a special exit for teams in the center of the stand.

The seats and tartan covering of the running track will also be replaced. Seats for the media will appear on the eastern stand and an administrative building will be built. The landscaping of the stadium grounds and parking spaces will not be ignored.

“After reconstruction, the Karasay stadium will meet UEFA criteria, which will allow European Cup matches to be held in Petropavl. Comfortable conditions will be created for football players and fans. In general, this will make it possible to popularize football in our region and bring it to a new level of development,” the head wrote region on social networks.
