Akim of NKR appealed to North Kazakhstanis to comply with safety rules during swimming season

Today, after the Government meeting, Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov held an operational meeting on ensuring safety during the swimming season. The head of the region addressed North Kazakhstanis about observing safety rules while swimming.

Today in the region there are 3 cases of children dying while swimming in unequipped places. In the summer, the main causes of death are swimming in unequipped places, being drunk on the water and lack of child supervision.

In total, 60 places for mass bathing have been identified in the region. To ensure a safe swimming season, the akim of the region instructed the akims of the districts and Petropavl to install prohibitory and warning signs in dangerous areas of reservoirs not equipped for swimming.

The Police Department was instructed, together with units of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to bring patrol routes of the personnel of Military Unit 6637 as close as possible to places of public recreation on reservoirs.

Also, the akim of the region instructed all responsible government agencies to strengthen preventive work with the population and ensure constant information interaction with WhatsApp groups for the purpose of informing and distributing preventive information.
