Today, Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov met with residents of the village of Beskol, answered questions and provided explanations on helping flood victims.
“Today, there are uniform rules across Kazakhstan for the payment of one-time assistance, provision and repair of housing. We must act strictly within the framework of the law. This also applies to the issue of the “red zone”. I understand residents who want to leave the flooded area. However, the damaged houses in Beskol will be repaired or demolished according to the conclusion of the technical inspection,” the head of the region wrote on social networks.
Also, a letter was sent to the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a proposal to expand the prohibited zone for construction from the bank of the Yesil River from 100 m to 1 km. These issues need to be enshrined in legislation, the akim of the region noted.
In general, 3,898 houses were damaged in the region during the flood; today all work on the assessment and technical inspection of housing has been completed. By May 25, the issuance of documentation on estimates, technical inspections and housing assessments will be completed.
To solve the housing problem, 520 houses are being built in the Solnechnyi 2 microdistrict; in addition, apartments are being purchased from the secondary market.
In addition, residents are concerned about the issue of building dams taking into account this year's flood.
“We will build capital dams according to the design decisions of specialists. All issues are under my personal control,” the akim of the region said.
