Preparations for sowing campaign are underway in NKR

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov on preparations for spring field work.

This year, the region will sow agricultural crops on an area of 4.5 million hectares. As part of diversification, the area of a socially significant crop – buckwheat – will be increased to 26 thousand hectares.

53 thousand tons of preferential diesel fuel were allocated for spring field work. It is planned to apply 256 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers.

The head of the region emphasized that the sowing campaign must be carried out in optimal agrotechnical terms. The akim of the region instructed to carry out timely procedures for checking seeds, concluding contracts for the purchase of mineral fertilizers, taking special control over the issue of timely shipment and supply of diesel fuel and ensuring 100% availability of equipment.
