Akimat of NKR considered preparations for fire danger period

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov to prepare for the fire danger period.

Ensuring fire safety is one of the main tasks of government agencies. Currently, forestry is equipped with 23 fire fighting vehicles, 87 tractors, and there are 16 forest fire stations. There are 16 interactive video surveillance systems in place to monitor the forest fund. It is planned to purchase early automatic fire detection systems for 7 forestry enterprises in the region.

Last year, 30 patrol vehicles, 8 trailed fire modules and attachments were purchased. In 2024, it is planned to purchase 2 firefighting vehicles, 8 wheeled tractors and 12 quadcopters. The percentage of forestry equipment is 87%.

The head of the region instructed to bring all fire hydrants into compliance, as well as take measures to build fire piers for refilling with water. In addition, it is necessary to ensure the creation of mineralized strips around populated areas and children’s camps with a width of at least 8 meters. It is also important to carry out preventive measures to explain fire safety rules during the fire hazard period.
