Akim of North Kazakhstan region: “As soon as water goes away, you immediately need to assess housing”

Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov visited the villages of Semipolatnoye, Beskol and Bolshaya Malyshka in the Kyzylzhar district, which were damaged by floods. The head of the region inspected residential buildings where the water was already draining and talked with the affected village residents.

In Semipolatnoye, Dmitryi Fazylov’s house cannot be restored, so local agrarian Lyazzat Zhakeyeva bought a house in this village for his employee and is now carrying out repairs.

“As soon as the water leaves the territory of the houses, it is immediately necessary to carry out a technical inspection and assessment of the property. This work is already being carried out in the districts. I instructed the akim of the Kyzylzhar district and the city of Petropavl not to wait, but as the water recedes, to launch assessment commissions for inspection. If the commission will recommend housing repairs, it is necessary to urgently begin restoration work,” the head of the region noted.

If housing is no longer suitable for living, they will build a new house or purchase housing on the secondary market.
