Akim of North Kazakhstan region met with victims of severe floods

Today, at the second school, Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov met with victims of severe floods. Residents of the villages of Zarechnyi and Kozhevennyi, Podgora, and the villages of Teplichnoye, Beskol and Pribrezhnoye were evacuated in advance.

“The most important thing is that everyone is alive and well. After all, human life is above all. The Head of State ordered to provide maximum assistance to the victims,” the head of the region said.

The rules have been approved and commissions have been created. Everyone will receive full compensation.

This is the worst flood in the history of our region. This is a difficult test for everyone.

“We have done everything possible to protect our city from natural disasters. However, this year a lot of water has come to us and continues to come. All efforts are being devoted to fighting the flood,” the akim of the North Kazakhstan region noted.

Misfortune never comes alone. Yesterday the regional center was left without water supply. Gauez Nurmukhambetov noted that due to heavy ice drift, four sources of power supply were lost at the first lift pumping station. Restoration work is still ongoing. On behalf of First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, an additional source of water supply was launched. Water pressure in houses is gradually rising. The city's water supply is being normalized.
