Today, Akim of NKR Gauez Nurmukhambetov flew over flood-prone areas of our region. In the districts of Gabit Musirepov, Shal Akyn, Aiyrtau and Timiryazev, the risk of flooding remains, since there is still a lot of snow. In these areas, the active phase of melting has not yet begun. Ice jams are also possible on small rivers and culverts.

In the Akzhar, Taiynsha and Ualikhanov districts the situation is also difficult. Large amounts of water are expected to arrive from the reservoirs of Astana and Akmola region.

“All resources have now been mobilized, a group of forces and means has been created, equipment has been prepared. Blasting works have been carried out on the rivers and evacuation points have been formed in the region. Inert materials, sack containers, fuels and lubricants and watercraft have been stockpiled. The situation is under my personal control,” the head of the region wrote on social networks.
