Akim of NKR held final meeting on preparation for floods

Today, akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov checked the flood preparedness in the Kyzylzhar district. The head of the region inspected the evacuation point located in the secondary school in the village of Pribrezhnoye, the progress of preparing inert materials in bags, and the readiness of drainage equipment and facilities in the village of Teplichnoye.

Gauez Nurmukhambetov also held a final cluster meeting in the village of Beskol with the participation of akims of nearby districts - Kyzylzhar, Yesil, Mamlyut, Zhambyl and Magzhan Zhumabayev, the city of Petropavl and the heads of relevant departments.

“The issue of flooding is very serious. Now there is warming and melting of snow. I have instructed responsible managers to take all necessary measures to minimize risks during the flood period,” the akim of the region wrote on social networks.
