Akim of NKR checked condition of dams and ordered to strengthen removal of snow from  private sector

Preparations for the flood period are under special control today. Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov inspected the condition of dams in the Podgora microdistrict, the village of Kozhevennyi, and the villages of Teplichnoye and Pribrezhnoye. The akim of the region noted that now we need to be fully armed: develop an action plan, provide equipment and stock up on bags of inert materials.

In addition, the head of the region ordered to strengthen the work on snow removal. Since November last year, 550 thousand cubic meters of snow have been removed from Petropavl; every day, contractors remove 11,500 thousand cubic meters from the streets of the regional center.

“However, now we need to increase this number several times. Work at least two shifts, especially in the private sector. This applies not only to the main streets, but also to small alleys, where there is also a high risk of flooding of private houses,” the akim of the region wrote on social networks.
