NKR uses molecular diagnostic device to quickly detect tuberculosis

The head of the region, Gauez Nurmukhambetov, visited the Regional Phthisiopulmonology Center. Today, medical institutions are sufficiently equipped to detect tuberculosis in a timely manner. There are 43 fluorographic machines. The center has introduced innovative laboratory technologies. One of them is the GeneXpert analyzer, which gives fast and ultra-accurate molecular diagnostic results.

Control over the treatment of patients at all stages of treatment has been established. Last year, the issue of social support in all districts and Petropavl was resolved, financial assistance is provided on a monthly basis.

“Meanwhile, we will continue to strengthen the material and technical base and improve treatment conditions at the phthisiopulmonology center. Now there is a need to renovate the 1st floor of the Department of Pulmonary Therapy and purchase a computed tomograph. I instructed the management of the Department of Healthcare and the center to make proposals to resolve these issues,” the Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov wrote.
