In the village of Zarechnoye, Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov inspected the condition of the coastline of the Yessil River. As the head of the region noted, it is necessary to pay special attention to the problem of the coastline.

According to experts, river erosion is observed not only on the Yessil River, but also on its tributaries. It affects sudden changes in the heights of critical levels during the flood period, which complicates forecasting work.

“I have instructed the responsible government agencies to conduct a comprehensive survey of the coastline. 87 settlements prone to floods will be covered. If necessary, we will carry out bank protection work,” the Akim of the region wrote on social networks.
