NKR will conduct comprehensive survey of coastline of Yessil River

Preparation for the flood period became a topic of discussion at a meeting of the Akimat of North Kazakhstan region. The region is carrying out targeted work to prevent flooding of populated areas in the spring.

To date, 87 settlements prone to floods have been registered. For a rapid response in the region, a group of forces and means has been created, consisting of 475 people and 135 pieces of equipment. There are 10 all-terrain vehicles for evacuation, 6 all-terrain vehicles, 7 watercraft and 82 motor pumps.

The Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov instructed the responsible government agencies to organize their work taking into account the experience of past years. It is also necessary to strengthen interaction with neighboring regions on the issue of monitoring the filling and discharge of water from reservoirs.

It is necessary to pay special attention to the condition of the coastline of the Yessil River. The head of the region instructed the responsible government agencies to conduct a comprehensive survey of the coastline.

Akim of the North Kazakhstan region noted that it is necessary to intensify the work on snow removal in the regional center and districts, to carry out explanatory work with residents of the private sector on the timely cleaning of local areas.
