Akim of NKR presented keys to apartment to Deaflympics champion

Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov, together with the Olympic champion, Deputy Secretary General of the NOC Serik Sapiyev, took part in the ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The region pays special attention to the development of the Olympic movement. Next year, the most important starts of the four-year period — the Olympics — will be held in Paris. Our cyclist Aleksey Lutsenko won two licenses from our region. Also, 7 athletes have candidate status from the North Caucasus. North Kazakhstanis believe that our athletes will perform well at the Olympics and bring medals to our country.

An awards ceremony also took place. The head of the region presented gratitude and the keys to the apartment to the champion of the Deaflympics, Farhad Kystaubayev. For successful performance at the World Championship among military personnel, Amangali Bekbolatov and the winner of the World Cup in Kazakh Kuresi, Altynbek Ausagitov, and their coaches were awarded with gratitude and a memorable gift. Serik Sapiyev awarded representatives of the region's sports sector with anniversary medals and letters of gratitude from the NOC of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
