The Botanical Garden resumed its work. A large-scale reconstruction has ended in the Petropavlovsk greenhouse, and the akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov was one of the first to see the updated look of the garden on that.
By the way, it is no coincidence that the botanical garden opened its doors precisely on Children’s Day. For young seekers, this is a great place to spend time and explore the floral diversity.
The head of the region noted that the North Kazakhstan greenhouse has a promising future. Our garden can become a «highlight» of the city and attract guests of the regional center.
The garden was founded 108 years ago and is one of the oldest in Kazakhstan. This is the northernmost greenhouse in Kazakhstan with unique plants such as tropical palm trees, orchid, lemon, agave, jasmine and other exotic plants from around the world.
«We repaired the pond, fountain, aviary, conservatory, entrance arch and rotunda. Beautiful plants have been planted. Small architectural forms and a decorative wall are also installed. Now the greenhouse has its own rock garden with a waterfall. Another feature is the nightly botanical garden, where each plant will be highlighted», — Kumar Aksakalov said.
