International Anti-Corruption Day

Today, December 9, the world celebrates International Anti-Corruption Day. Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov together with the head of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency for North Kazakhstan region Askhat Zhakypbekov and heads of law enforcement agencies took part in the solemn event dedicated to this day.

Work to prevent corruption is carried out in the region on an ongoing basis. Close and constructive interaction between government agencies and the region’s anti-corruption service has been established to reduce corruption risks.

Thanks to this, there has been a decrease in corruption offenses. According to the results of social research, North Kazakhstan has been included in the group of regions with a low level of corruption for several years now.

The interaction between government agencies, civil society, entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations and the media also plays an important role. The head of the region presented letters of gratitude to North Kazakhstanis who distinguished themselves in anti-corruption work.
