Buckwheat crops are being increased in North Kazakhstan region to fully cover the needs of the population

The akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov got acquainted with the demolition of houses along Gorky Street. Gradually, dilapidated housing is being demolished and in its place there are multi-storey buildings that comply with the principle of modern urban planning. Over the past 3 years, 724 houses were demolished, this year, it is planned to remove another 283.

The head of the region visited the data center under construction. Now, the attracted investor is implementing a large project in the field of information processing and storage. To do this, he bought and restores the buildings of the former Kalinin factory.

A large server will appear in the region, where Kazakhstan and international companies will be able to store information. When the center opens, an investor is ready to provide servers to such global giants as Yandex, Amazon, Google and Facebook.

During the detour of the city Kumar Aksakalov paid special attention to the new cereal factory. It produces 12 types of cereals. 6 of which are made of local raw materials. This is buckwheat, semolina, pearl barley, lentil, pea and barley groats. The price is cheaper by an average of 20 percent.

«Last year, we sowed buckwheat on an area of ​​1.8 thousand hectares. This year, crops will amount to 5 thousand hectares. The demand of NKR is 4 thousand tons. We will completely cover the region’s need for buckwheat. We will load the plant», — the akim of the region said.
