The pace of housing construction is increasing annually. Thus, 2200 apartments were commissioned last year, this year it is planned to put into operation 3000 apartments.

Kumar Aksakalov checked the construction of the first 18-story building in the region. The head of the region also explained what the advantages of apartment buildings were.

“Private houses occupy 50% of the housing stock. And only 20% of the city’s residents live there,” – the akim of the region emphasized.

The head of the region also got acquainted with the process of erecting the “Kazakh Theater”. The new cultural facility will become a venue for international events.

The creation of an attractive city view is given special attention. Landscaping of the regional center continues. Today, planting of seedlings of trees and hedges in 24 streets has been carried out.

Modern bright lighting will be installed on 15 streets. Also, new lighting will appear in the microdistricts of Bereke and Orman.

It is worth noting that the improvement of courtyards is actively ongoing. 621 million tenge were allocated for the repair of 73 yard sites.

Now, 55 thousand cars are registered in Petropavlovsk. There is a lack of parking spaces.

“To streamline a large number of cars, we will create free parking lots throughout the city. We will find territory near the houses. Lay the asphalt, make 3D fences. Perimeter cameras will be installed that will transmit data to the DSP. We will allocate funds from the budget and we will do this work,” – Kumar Aksakalov said.

The railway station is considered to be the face of the city. On average, 250 thousand people arrive and depart by train from Petropavlovsk on a monthly basis. The reconstruction of the station began in 2018. This year, the work will be completed. Modern escalators and elevators will be installed. The lobby and waiting room will be updated.

“We will put in order the station square. We demolish the old pavilions. We will transfer bus stops closer to the station for the convenience of visitors,” – Kumar Aksakalov concluded.
