At a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the issue of the progress of the harvesting campaign was considered. First Deputy Akim of North Kazakhstan region Marat Tasmaganbetov reported on the progress of harvesting work in the region.

This year, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops is carried out on an area of 3.4 million hectares.

“To date, 1.8 million hectares or 53% have been harvested, 1.9 million tons have been threshed, the yield is 10.5 c/ha. Since the beginning of September, 45 mm of precipitation has already fallen, or 158% of the monthly norm. Despite this, technical readiness made it possible to remove the windrows in a short time,” Marat Tasmaganbetov noted.

317 grain dryers have been launched in the region, which make it possible to dry 240 thousand tons in 1 day.

Also, to carry out grain drying work, an application was sent for the allocation of an additional 10 thousand tons of diesel fuel.

The region has a sufficient number of grain storage tanks with a capacity of 6.9 million tons. This will completely ensure the safety of the crop.

The region's elevators received more than 500 thousand tons of grain, including 3 class wheat - 325 thousand tons.

About 250 thousand tons of seeds, or more than 50%, have been planted for next year's sowing. Work in this direction continues.

“A working group has been created that conducts operational monitoring of the progress of harvesting work. The harvesting campaign is under control,” the First Deputy Akim of the North Kazakhstan region added.
