130th anniversary of Magzhan Zhumabayev celebrated in NKR

Magzhan Zhumabaev, a great poet, figure Alash, a publicist, a teacher, a native of the North Kazakhstan region, turned 130 years old. During a working visit to the northern region, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to hold the poet's anniversary at a high level.

The main solemn part of the anniversary took place in Sarytomar, in the birthplace of the great poet. In honor of the anniversary, the chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Koshanov, specially arrived. On behalf of the President, he read out a congratulatory letter and congratulated all those present on the 130th anniversary of Magzhan Zhumabayev.

Addressing the guests, Aidarbek Saparov, Akim of the North Kazakhstan region, said that Magzhan Zhumabayev occupies a special place in the history of the country and stressed the importance of preserving the work of the great poet.

This year has been declared the year of Magzhan, and since the beginning of the year, various events dedicated to the anniversary have been held. Mushaira and international aitys of akyns passed. At the scientific-practical conference, which brought together foreign and domestic scientists, the great legacy of Magzhan was discussed once again.
