In the holy month of Ramadan, a museum of Islamic culture was opened in the North Kazakhstan region. This is an important event for the Muslims of the region. The opening ceremony was attended by the Supreme Mufti Nauryzbay kazhy Taganuly, Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Aidarbek Saparov and members of the public.
To open the museum, an old mosque built in the 19th century was restored. The religious building on the territory of the Kirov factory was partially destroyed, but the tower was preserved. Funds were allocated from the budget for reconstruction. During the restoration, emphasis was placed on preserving the original appearance of the mosque.
“This is a tribute to our history and the glorification of spiritual values,” the Akim of the region Aidarbek Saparov on his social media page wrote.
In the museum, visitors can get information about the history and culture of Islam, get acquainted with manuscripts, articles and books of the Koran.
