On February 17, Parliamentary hearings were held in the Senate, where the Akim of the North Kazakhstan region spoke. Aidarbek Saparov voiced the pressing issues of the region. For example, in 2023, 24 billion tenge is provided for improving the condition of the roadway. However, in order to achieve a quality indicator of 95% by 2026, funding of about 40 billion tenge is needed annually.
Akim of North Kazakhstan region also touched upon the issue of water supply. It significantly depends on the implementation of projects for group water pipelines of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. In order to provide the villagers with water as soon as possible, it is necessary to speed up the work on these projects.
In addition to infrastructure issues, Aidarbek Saparov touched upon the healthcare sector. In order to provide quality medical services to the people of North Kazakhstan, it is necessary to continue the construction of a multidisciplinary regional hospital in Petropavlovsk.
“A private partner completed construction and installation work and erected the floors of the main building by 54%. A request to the Ministry of Healthcare - together with a private partner, it is necessary to speed up the execution of project documentation and resume construction,” the Akim of the North Kazakhstan region suggested.
One of the constraining factors for the development of the region's economy is the lack of gas. Potential investors are not ready to implement their projects. An acceptable option is to connect the region from the Saryarka gas pipeline.
“Solving the issue will improve the social and living conditions of the population, will provide an opportunity to implement new investment projects, improve the environmental situation,” the Akim of the region said.
