“In 2022, the trade turnover between the region and Lithuania increased by 1.7 times and amounted to $2.2 million. There is a lot of work ahead, we need to implement our plans together. The trade turnover must be brought up to 10 million US dollars. If there are people from your side who want to invest in our region, we are ready to create all the necessary conditions,” Aidarbek Saparov, Akim of the region, said.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Kazakhstan Gintautas Vasiulis noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations.
“All economic life, which is a very important component of our cooperation, is still in full swing not in the center, but in the regions. The potential of NKR is large. We strive to create an honorary consulate of our country in every region of Kazakhstan. We very much hope to return to Petropavlovsk this summer for the grand opening of our consulate. We believe that this tool will be very useful for expanding cultural and business ties between our regions,” Gintautas Vasiulis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Kazakhstan, said.
