As part of the renovation, the housing stock will be updated in North Kazakhstan region

Kumar Aksakalov took part in an expanded meeting of the board of departments of construction and housing and communal services.

Investments in housing increased by 44% in 2019. More than 3,000 North Kazakhstanis living in villages have improved their living conditions. The pace of housing construction in villages is increasing annually. The head of the region called for special attention to be paid to the quality of new houses. One must build them from strong materials and extend the warranty period. There is an opportunity to build houses on their own, receiving funds from the government.

They also discussed construction of apartment buildings in the regional center. Those will now appear only in the city, where there is an empty territory. This year, construction of communications will begin in Yuzhny microdistrict.

«If we expand the city, then we will face the problem of transport support in future. We have about 15 thousand houses in the private sector, some of which are outdated», — Kumar Aksakalov said.

The renovation mechanism for updating the housing stock is being worked out. At the place where the dilapidated housing has been demolished, houses of private developers will appear. The number of commercial housing will increase.

The head of the region focused on alternative sources of heating. Those include straw pellets.

«We have a lot of straw just burned or decayed in the fields. But this is a very profitable source of heat, and also environmentally friendly», — the akim of the region emphasized. ⠀
