Coins of Golden Horde era found in NKR

Akim of North Kazakhstan region visited Ualikhanov district. Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov wrote about this on his page on the social network.

“I visited the medieval “Kyzyloba Mausoleum” opened in 2019 in the Ualikhanov district. Excavations were carried out for three years and valuable artifacts were found. In particular, silver coins, gold items, ceramics, tombs and ovens dating back to the 14th century,” the head of the region wrote.

This proves the existence of settlements of the Golden Horde in the territory of Northern Kazakhstan. Currently, works are being carried out on museumification to preserve the historical monument.

“In the evening I met with the residents of Bereke and Kulykol, one of the remote villages in our region. At the meeting, the problems of roads, water, the Internet were raised, all issues were taken under control. This year, in the village of Kulykol, intra-settlement roads are being repaired, the village club is being updated,” the Akim of the North Kazakhstan region said.
