May 9th is a special day for all of us. 77 years ago, the bloodiest war in human history ended. There is not a single family left in our country that was not touched by the terrible war.
Today, together with the public, we took part in the ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths at the Eternal Flame and the Victory Stele. A minute of silence was honored in memory of the North Kazakhstan soldiers who did not return from the front. We must always appreciate and remember the feats of the older generation. A deep bow to our veterans of the war and home front. May there always be peace, tranquility and clear skies over our heads in our country,” Kumar Aksakalov, Akim of the North Kazakhstan region, wrote on his social media page.
