Akim of NKR spoke on gasification in the Senate

Akim of North Kazakhstan Region Kumar Aksakalov spoke at the Government Hour of the Senate on the issue of gasification.

The annual consumption of coal in the region is 619 thousand tons. On average, 25 thousand tenge per month is spent on coal and firewood in a private house. In total, 189 thousand tenge is needed for the heating season. For comparison, in the Karaganda region, it takes 14 thousand tenge per month to provide gas to 1 house. It will cost 13,000 tenge per month for residents of Nur-Sultan.

"We consider the most acceptable option to connect the region from the Saryarka gas pipeline, all the necessary parameters for providing the region with natural gas are included in the main gas pipeline project. The estimated cost of construction of branches, supply and distribution gasification networks of the North Kazakhstan region to 139 settlements will be 140 billion tenge, covering a population of 457 thousand people. Approximately, the region's gas demand is 2 billion cubic meters per year," the akim of the region said.

As noted by the regional akim, gasification of the region will attract investors and improve the standard of living of the population.
