Preparing for the flood period

This issue was discussed at a meeting of the akimat of the region.

This year, a force group of 2.5 thousand people and 1.5 thousand units of equipment was created for rapid response.

Over the past 5 years, the threat of flooding has been removed in 170 settlements.

More than 130 km of earth embankments, more than 7 km of protective dams have been erected, 79 culverts, 7 tubings have been installed on the region's roads, 48.5 km of drainage systems have been built and repaired.

This year, 85 villages with a population of over 6 thousand people are under control, of which 13 are subject to flooding.

"Pay special attention to the water that comes from the fields. Already now akimats are in place, and just ordinary residents should “monitor the villages", especially those that are in the lowland. I also want to remind you that every year we face the problem of "overflows" of the roadway.
