Akim of NKR admonished North Kazakhstan Olympians and paraathletes

There are only a few days left before the Winter Olympics in Beijing. North Kazakhstan athletes have won licenses and are preparing to participate in the main start of the four-year period. Our skater Ivan Arzhanikov will compete for medals at a distance of 500 and 1000 m.

Kazakhstan has delegated 4 athletes to the Winter Paralympics, three of them are from North Kazakhstan. These are Aleksandr Gerlitz, Yerbol Khamitov and Sergey Usoltsev.

"Our paraathletes took part in the meeting with the Head of State. By the way, Aleksandr Gerlitz is the captain of the Paralympic team of Kazakhstan and the main hope of the country. Aleksandr received the Flag of our country from the hands of the President. I wish our athletes to perform well at the Olympics. The people of North Kazakhstan will cheer for you!" the head of the region, Kumar Aksakalov, wrote on his social media page.
