Akim of North Kazakhstan region held a press conference on the current situation in the region

National mourning has been declared in our country today. I would like to express my condolences to the families of the victims.

Today the situation in our region remains stable. Compared to other regions, not a single inhabitant of our region was hurt and no one was subjected to violence, no facts of encroachment on someone else's property were registered. All this is due to the fact that the inhabitants of our region treated all events with understanding and showed their political literacy.

We have been living in a state of emergency for the fifth day. Checkpoints have been set up. They give their results. Government agencies, life support facilities and social facilities operate normally. Food security is ensured.

Gas. The news is spreading that North Kazakhstan is the most expensive gas in the country. This is not correct information. The population needs to be informed correctly. The gas price is the same for all northern regions. This is verified by the Anti-Donor Agency. For Akmola, Almaty, Kostanay, Karaganda, Pavlodar regions, the price is the same as ours.

The Internet throughout the country only works at certain times. Every day the period of the Internet will increase. Today it will work much longer than yesterday.

ATM machines are working, they are filled with cash. All these days, under the escort of guards, they were delivering money. Banks are already opening today. The most widespread network in our country is Halyk Bank, today the branches of this bank in the region are already working. We provided them with armed guards.

Anti-terrorist work is now underway throughout the country. Hazard level declared red. The President said in his address that the regions where the situation is normal will gradually remove the state of emergency. I think that our region is one of the first to go back to normal. Checkpoints have shown their effectiveness. At the same time, one cannot relax.

Now an anti-terror operation is being carried out in the country and in our region. Suspicious objects are identified, information of both apartments and residents is checked. I ask the residents to treat with understanding the work being done.
