On Facebook, Aygul Amitova wrote a post that the infectious diseases department was allegedly closed in Petropavlovsk. Aygul expressed concern about the health of her grandmother, who is being treated at the first city hospital. In response under the post, the akim of North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov dispelled the doubts of Aygul Amitova.
“Aygul, I wish your grandmother a speedy recovery. I would like to clarify the situation in hospitals. Now, our region is in the green zone. More patients are discharged daily than are admitted. Infectious hospitals are emptying, and this is a good sign,” — the head of the region wrote. ⠀
During the pandemic, an infectious disease ward was deployed at the first city hospital to treat coronavirus patients. Currently, 18 patients are being treated there for covid.
“They will not be transported anywhere. Doctors will work until the last patient is discharged. Moreover, we are not talking about the closure of the hospital itself. The medical institution will continue to work as usual. New entrants will be sent to the new infectious diseases hospital. There is no reason for concern, once again I wish good health to your grandmother,” — Kumar Aksakalov summed up.
