On February 21, a gas cylinder exploded in a cafe on the first floor of a hostel. As a result, 2 people died, 8 are currently in the hospital. The akim of North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov left for the scene. The head of the region expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished the victims a speedy recovery.

The residents of the house were evacuated in the shortest possible time. The people were housed in the school and dormitory of the local university. Funds will be allocated from the city budget for the early restoration of the dormitory building.
