A digital angiograph was installed in a hospital in NKR

The akim of North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov wrote about that on his page in social networks.

“Today, a new digital angiograph has been launched at the regional hospital. Modern equipment allows performing complex operations for stroke and heart attack. Last year, the same angiograph was installed in the cardio center, where more than 1200 operations were performed using it. These are hundreds of saved lives of our North Kazakhstanis. They began to carry out operations on the brain," — the akim of the region wrote.

Now, there are three angiographs in the region, the fourth will be installed in a new multidisciplinary hospital under construction. Thus, the region’s need for this device will be covered, because according to world standards, there is 1 angiograph per 150 thousand people.

In general, more than 12 billion tenge were allocated to upgrade equipment last year. Hospitals were replenished with MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, angiograph and other vital equipment. This has improved medical performance. For example, oncology mortality rates have been reduced by 13%, heart attacks by 10%. The incidence of tuberculosis has decreased by 36%.

“These figures indicate hundreds of lives saved, thanks to the professional work of doctors and the capabilities of modern medical equipment,” — the head of the region added.
