Bioethanol production started in North Kazakhstan region after capital modernization

Today, a bioethanol production line at the Bio Operations plant launched after a major modernization in NKR. Thus, the final stage of the technological line for deep processing of wheat was completed. The bio-plant is completely revived. Modern equipment from France has been installed. Last year, we launched starch and gluten production lines for export. 450 permanent jobs were created. The total investment is 12 billion tenge. To date, the company has already paid more than 500 million tenge in taxes.

Bioethanol is the final and main product obtained in complex production processes. There is a great demand for bioethanol on the world market. The eco-friendly product increases the octane number of gasoline and reduces air pollution.

“Bioethanol is an important product for the preservation of the environment. An agreement of intent was signed for the supply of bioethanol to the Pavlodar oil refinery. At the initial stage, it is planned to produce 20 thousand tons of bioethanol per year with a gradual increase in volumes to 36 thousand tons. Thus, the North Kazakhstani plant will completely cover the country’s demand for this product,” — Kumar Aksakalov said during the launch.

Several wheat processing projects are being implemented in North Kazakhstan region. The annual processing capacity of the bio-plant will be 300 thousand tons. There is also a feed mill "Kazmil" with a capacity of 360 thousand tons. The reconstruction of one more feed mill "Bayrek" is underway. The task for the coming years is to increase the share of wheat processing in the region to 90%.
