During a briefing in the CCS, the akim of North Kazakhstan region noted the positive changes in the higher education system. In 4 years, the number of grants at the regional university has doubled.

“This has led to the fact that, in parallel with a decrease in the outflow of school graduates from 30 to 12.7%, the number of students in our university has increased by 40%,” — Kumar Aksakalov said.

Moreover, in the near future it is planned to increase the number of students to 10 thousand. For this, a new educational and laboratory building and two dormitories are being built. The new building will house 73 modern laboratories for engineering and digital technologies, transport and mechanical engineering, energy and radio engineering, food security, agronomy, forestry and medicine.

Next year, construction of a new educational building of the military institute will begin, where 660 cadets will be able to study.

In general, the education system is undergoing dramatic changes. The outdated computer and bus fleets have been completely renovated in the region. All schools are equipped with video surveillance. The shortage of teachers has been practically eliminated. Half of all schools in the region have been overhauled in 2 years.

Within the framework of PPP, a project for the modernization of a rural school in Peterfeld has been implemented. The building was reconstructed, modern equipment was purchased and the curriculum was completely updated.
