Historical objects are beung reshaped in NKR

The akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov visited cultural and historical sites of Petropavlovsk, about which he wrote on his social networks. The head of the region told the subscribers how the work began on the historical reconstruction of the city and improvement, as well as plans for the coming year.

“Petropavlovsk is a city with a rich history. Many historical buildings have been preserved within the boundaries of the regional center, but some of them were half destroyed. Three years ago, we began work on the restoration of old objects, looked for their owners and handed them over to entrepreneurs. We can already see how the cultural appearance of our city is changing.

Much work has been done to restore the local "Colosseum". The house of the merchant Shamsutdinov was built at the beginning of the 20th century as a shopping center. And only now its historical role will be played. A supermarket will appear on the first floor, a fitness center on the second. A road will appear between Brusilovskiy and Teatralnaya streets.

The businessman Yuriy Semyonov has restored an old building on Brusilovskiy Street. In 1907, the first telephone exchange in Petropavlovsk was located on this site. And now, there is a cozy restaurant. We, in turn, are engaged in the improvement of Brusilovskiy Street. This year, a park in the historical style appeared, we will continue work on transforming the street next year. We will install new lighting, comfortable benches, and we will also be engaged in landscaping. We will decorate the section from the Water Tower to the Romanov College in the same style. Small lanes connecting Constitution and Brusilovskiy streets will also acquire a general architectural appearance.

The project "Qyzyljar art center" is being implemented on the territory of the regional museum. An art cafe with an interesting design solution will appear in the courtyard; workshops for processing leather, metal and wood will be opened for local artisans. Work is also underway to create an exhibition and gallery area.

The entrance group to Petropavlovsk has been transformed. The Podgora microdistrict has become much more beautiful. This year, we tried to stylize Potanin Street in an antique style. Next year, we will continue to work on the preservation of the old objects of Petropavlovsk and the improvement of the regional center. Emphasizing the historical value of our city, we will make it more attractive for both locals and tourists,” — the head of the region published on Instagram and Facebook.
