This year, 5.4 thousand people graduated from colleges and the university. This is the highest figure in the last three years. And what is important, 80% of the graduates found a job.

“The students’ number is gradually increasing. Applicants have more opportunities to get free education at the university. A proof of this is the doubling of the number of grants over the past three years, from 1.8 thousand to 3.9 thousand. Now, 7.5 thousand students study at the local university. In 2017, the university’s contingent was only 5.4 thousand students,” — the akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov said at a meeting of the akimat of North Kazakhstan region.

Funding for improving the material and technical base of colleges reached 275 million tenge. This is 4 times more funds than was allocated in 2017. 1.2 billion tenge was allocated for the purchase of high-tech equipment for 4 colleges. In 2021, we will finance 5 more colleges for 1.5 billion tenge. Thus, 40% of the state colleges in the region will be renovated in two years.
