An environmental campaign, "Clean Monument - Clean Memory," was held in Petropavl as part of the national "Taza Kazakstan" program. Young people and volunteers cleaned the area around the monument to Anastasia Prokoficheva.
The "Taza Kazakstan" program, initiated by the Head of State, aims to foster environmental awareness, respect for the environment, and responsibility for the cleanliness of public spaces.
30 people participated in the event. It was organized by the Youth Initiatives Department of the Center for Public Development and Information of the North Kazakhstan Region Akimat's Internal Policy Department.
The cleanup was conducted in a team format. Participants were divided into groups, each responsible for a separate section of the area. Some cleared the monument's pedestal and steps of dust and dirt, while others removed dry grass, leaves, and weeds from the adjacent flowerbeds. Small household trash was also collected from the paths leading to the monument.
The goal of the campaign is to foster environmental awareness among young people, a respectful attitude toward the history of their native land, and a caring attitude toward public spaces.
Similar initiatives are implemented systematically in the region. As part of the "Taza Kazakstan" program, young people, volunteers, and active residents participate in environmental campaigns, cleanup days, and landscaping activities.
Another environmental initiative is also being implemented in the region. Well-known bloggers and influencers are posting videos about responsible stewardship of the country's nature and resources under the hashtags #TazaOrta and #TazaKazakstan. Social media activists support cleanup days and other environmental events, helping to engage a wider audience in the "Taza Qazaqstan" program.
