A seminar and meeting on spring fieldwork was held in Petropavl

This traditional platform for exchanging experiences, discussing modern agricultural technologies, and developing practical recommendations for a successful start to the sowing campaign. The meeting was attended by the Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov, Vice Minister of Agriculture Amangali Berdalin, scientists, experts, and farmers from the region.

"Key objectives for this year include diversifying crop areas, expanding the production of high-margin crops, and introducing modern agricultural technologies, including water-saving ones. Sustainable results in agricultural development can only be achieved through the coordinated work of science, business, and the government. The experience of leading agricultural producers and modern scientific research should form the basis for management decisions and the implementation of effective practices. Therefore, it is necessary to actively apply this knowledge in practice and create the conditions for its widespread adoption in the industry," the head of the region noted.

In 2026, the sown area will exceed 4.3 million hectares. As part of diversification, the area under grain crops has been reduced to 2.9 million hectares, oilseeds increased to 1 million hectares, and forage crops to 405,000 hectares. The area under water-saving technologies will exceed 13,000 hectares.

Work to improve the industry's efficiency continues: approximately 400,000 tons of mineral fertilizers are planned to be applied, and the use of organic fertilizers is being expanded. More than 10,000 tractors, approximately 14,000 seeders, and 1,500 modern seeding systems will be used in the sowing campaign.

Thanks to government support and early funding, farmers have been able to prepare for the sowing campaign well in advance. 63.5 billion tenge have already been allocated under the Ken Dala program, and 49 billion tenge are earmarked for equipment upgrades.
