Open Dialogue between the akim of the region and residents of Petropavl

The akim of the region held a meeting with residents of Petropavl. The open dialogue allowed them to discuss current issues of concern to residents, exchange opinions, and outline next steps.

"Petropavl is developing confidently today – systematic work is underway to upgrade infrastructure, improve amenities, and create a comfortable urban environment. This momentum will be maintained. All this work is aimed at improving the quality of life of our residents. The city's development will continue in accordance with the priorities outlined in the new Constitution," head of the region noted.

Plans for 2026:

✔️Medium repairs are planned for 31 Street, as well as the reconstruction of Frunze and Kizatova Streets. The Frunze Street project will reduce traffic congestion in the Bereke microdistrict and improve its connection to the city center. The reconstruction of Kizatova Street will support the development of the new microdistricts of Birlik-1 and Birlik-2.

✔️This year, improvement works will cover 20 blocks.

✔️In 2026, 215,000 square meters of housing are planned for delivery.

✔️Important infrastructure projects are being implemented, including the construction of the TM-2 and TM-15 heating mains, which will improve the reliability of heat supply to residential buildings and social facilities.

✔️Construction of a 280-child kindergarten has begun, and a project for an eco-park with a triathlon zone near Lake Pestroye is being developed.

✔️A representative office of the Kulyash Baiseitova Kazakh National Institute of Culture and Arts is planned to open at the M. Kozybayev Kazakh National University of Culture and Arts. The educational process will be organized in five specialties, with 100 students enrolled this year.

✔️Particular attention is being paid to the development of sports and the creation of accessible infrastructure. Plans include the construction of an inclusive sports facility, the implementation of ice and multi-purpose sports arenas, and an indoor football stadium with an academy.

✔️Digital waste collection monitoring has been implemented in the city, with 47 cameras installed, and an additional 400 CCTV cameras planned for this year.
