Korisu Day celebrated on a grand scale in Petropavl

Korisu Day marks the beginning of the "Nauryznama" decade. At the initiative of the Head of State, the celebration of Nauryz is being held in a new format that promotes the revival and popularization of national traditions.

This holiday symbolizes respect for elders, national unity, and friendly and kind relations between people. Traditionally, people visit relatives, friends, and neighbors on this day, greeting each other with the words "Bir Zhasynmen!"—meaning a wish for long life and prosperity. Today, more than a thousand city residents took to the streets to participate in the festive events.

Dozens of events and activities will be held in the region to celebrate the arrival of the main spring holiday. Each day of the "Nauryznama" festive decade will be dedicated to national values, traditions, and social unity. A distinctive feature of this year's Nauryz celebration will be a combination of tradition and modern solutions.

"On this festive day, I wish everyone good health, prosperity, peace, and harmony in every home. May the good traditions of our people continue to unite people, strengthening friendship, mutual respect, and unity," the akim of the region remarked.
