Kazakhstani Cinema Days kicked off in a rural area for the first time

The official opening of the National Cinema Days took place in North Kazakhstan. This is the second year the event has been supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Center for National Cinema Support. This year, for the first time, the opening ceremony took place in a rural area – in the village of Novoishimskoye in the Gabit Musirepov District. The choice of location for the Cinema Days underscored the project's strategic goal of making national cinema accessible to every viewer.

The opening of the Cinema Days included a screening of last year's film "Captain Baitasov" – an action drama based on real events and dedicated to the heroic deed of Khalyk Kakharmany, police captain Gaziz Baitasov.

Over the course of the week, residents of the region will be able to see the best Kazakhstani films produced with state support. The program reflects the genre and thematic diversity of contemporary national cinema. Additionally, on the occasion of Cinema Days, the Digital Museum of the regional creative IT center "Digital Zerde" opened in the region. This interactive space allows visitors to learn about the region's history through modern technology.
